The Houses

Designed for shared living

The houses are interconnected, creating a natural flow between spaces while still allowing for privacy.

A shared kitchen, central pool, poolside lounge , and two sitting rooms provide generous places to gather throughout the day or in the evenings.

Whether travelling as a family or a group of friends, Lithos Courtyard offers a balance of being together, without ever feeling crowded.

History of Lithos

Add photos of family members, deserted houses

A place to care for

The houses were built by the owner’s great-great-grandfather and his son in the late 1800s and have been passed down through generations. Several members of the family were born here, and the properties were given to him, with the understanding that he would look after them and preserve them, rather than leaving them to decline like much of the surrounding hamlet.

Over time, the village changed. Electricity arrived only in the 1970s, and by the 1980s many homes had been abandoned. Today, only a few remain inhabited.

In restoring the houses, great care was taken to maintain the character of the place as the owner remembers it once was: simple, authentic, and connected to its surroundings.

Nearby, traces of the past remain: an old church dating back centuries, and the ruins of a former olive press, once central to village life.

Lithos Courtyard continues this story, quietly, and with respect for what came before.
